UK and Europe poses a new era of opportunity for Asian investors

Last week, the BVCA, along with a delegation of 15 specialist European private capital fund managers, were warmly greeted as we returned to Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore for a second year, to host our European Private Capital conferences and receptions.

The programme connected Asian institutional investors, family offices and local stakeholders with a selection of European venture capital, private equity and private credit managers to exchange market insights, showcase the opportunities in the UK and Europe for investment and to build deep long-lasting relations.

We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade and were privileged to be welcomed by HM Ambassador to Japan at the British Embassy in Tokyo. In Seoul we were hosted by HM Ambassador to the Republic of Korea at his residence at the British Embassy and we had the pleasure of welcoming the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore to join us at the end of our tour in Singapore. With over 100 LPs involved across three cities, the discussion and networking were wide-ranging. The engagements underpinned the strong appetite to bring these ecosystems closer together, to build trust and strong partnerships with Asian investors and to attract investment into UK and European private capital.

Amidst the ever-changing geo-political backdrop of tariffs and shifting policies, it is evident this new era brings opportunities, as well as challenges. And it positions the UK and Europe competitively on the world stage as an attractive market for investment and partnership.
