Our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family at this time.

Her Majesty the Queen spent all of her life in service to this country and the wider Commonwealth, a much loved figurehead and a reassuring presence at moments of national uncertainty. She symbolised the values of the nation, and bore her representative responsibilities with grace and distinction.

In person, she made her mark on individuals and communities, balancing the dignity required of the monarch with compassion and the human touch. Whether hosting an international summit, visiting a factory or on a walkabout, she was engaged and engaging. Hers is a powerful legacy.

The sense of loss is very real as we enter the period of mourning, a time of reflection for all of us. At the BVCA we will continue our work on your behalf, but will do so in a manner which is sensitive to and respectful of the national mood. In the meantime we wish King Charles a successful reign.
