Vision 2025 celebrates the best teams of 2024 backed by private equity and venture capital, awarding portfolio companies and their investors.
These annual awards take into account growth, competitiveness, innovation, ESG and the challenges of the year, with a focus on the future and the sustainability of the business as well as past performance.
Supported by our headline sponsor Grant Thornton and supporting sponsor Santander, our initiative applauds the extraordinary companies that show vision, and the lasting value that the investment and support of their investors brought in 2024.
Award process
New Award Categories for 2025
In 2025, we are introducing new award categories and will be recognising portfolio companies against the following categories:
- Early-stage
- Scale-up
- Medium
- Large
- Exit
- International Expansion
Companies recognised will need to demonstrate how they:
- remained competitive
- achieved growth
- demonstrated innovation or agility
- fulfilled their ESG commitment and progress
Each business will be awarded for its work across all four of the recognition themes, flagging distinct areas in which each company has excelled. This initiative will compile the stories that cast a spotlight on those management teams who have shone and deserve to be rewarded with the highest acknowledgement.

Diversity, equity & inclusion
An integral part of the BVCA’s mission is to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) within our industry and support firms to build inclusive environments in which everyone can thrive. Please include details of your diversity, equity and inclusion policies and practices and how these are represented amongst your management and wider teams, including gender diversity. Should you be a winner of Vision 2025, we would expect to see this representation at the award ceremony.
Companies recognised with awards will be announced at the BVCA’s Invest Dinner Series, with the National Winners celebrated at the BVCA's Gala on 3 December 2025.
Management teams will have the opportunity to share their work and recognition with supporting marketing assets provided by the BVCA.
The period judged is the 2024 calendar year and we are looking for the impact of investment and hands-on involvement coming to fruition. Investment is therefore very likely to have been received in the years prior to 2024.

Your Submission
Vision 2025 is supported by Grant Thornton and Santander. The BVCA will invite selected nominees to interview with Grant Thornton and Santander, who will then compile information for the judging process. When making your nomination please therefore be prepared to introduce Grant Thornton and Santander to the investee company at a later stage.
The period judged is calendar year 2024 and we are looking for the impact of investment and hands-on involvement coming to fruition. Investment is therefore very likely to have been received in the years prior to 2024.
