Private Capital Sustainability Conference

ESG: a tool for value creation

The importance of ESG and Responsible Investment has never been more relevant for the private capital industry. Sustainability issues, especially climate, biodiversity, diversity and equity and other environmental and social considerations, have become deeply embedded in global political discourse. This has spurred policymakers and regulators to design and implement a range of sustainability-related rules and disclosure requirements that affect businesses across the UK financial services industry, private capital firms included.

The Private Capital Sustainability Conference, formerly known as the ESG Conference, will cover the full breadth of ESG topics relevant to private capital including impact and how VCs are developing their Responsible Investment Practices.

Key themes

The conference examines key ESG topics relevant to private capital, including:

  • Horizon scanning: Politics, policies, and regulations
  • ESG reporting and transparency
  • Data convergence/alignment: what do LPs want
  • Supply chains: an environmental and social perspective
  • Net Zero and the Voluntary Carbon Markets
  • ESG through a VC lens
  • Biodiversity: Nature-based solutions
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • And much more
