Xtrac, founded in 1984, has become world-leading in the design and manufacture of high-performance automotive transmissions, providing specialist technology expertise and innovative solutions for the motorsport, hypercar and supercar industry.

The business supplies most of the world’s top motorsport teams in both two- and four-wheeled racing categories across the globe, including Sportscar racing, NASCAR and Formula 1™. Xtrac is also leading developments in both hybrid and electric vehicles.

Since Inflexion’s investment in Xtrac, they have significantly improved the company’s electric capabilities. They have driven their transition to hybrid and electric transmission systems, from 13% of revenue in 2017 to 40% of revenue in 2023. Inflexion has also supported Xtrac’s sustainability initiatives, placing long-term sustainability at the core of the business.

Xtrac have received numerous third-party ESG accreditations such as carbon reduction target approvals from Science Based Targets initiative, accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation and ESGmark®.
