Corporate Manager and Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive (Maternity)

Position: Hybrid, contract (maternity)

Learning and Development at the BVCA

We are passionate about working with our members as partners for growth, and to do this we encourage learning, skills development, curiosity and self-development to build our talent and industry knowledge. 

We also provide a broad range of opportunities to expand your professional network.  Where required for your role, we will reimburse up to two professional institutes*, and there may be financial support towards gaining professional qualifications or accreditations if relevant to your role. 

As well as access to our member-run training courses we run a number of training development programmes to support you, whichever stage of your career you are at. 

We also offer colleagues the opportunity to develop skills in a variety of job-based development opportunities which may include*

  • presenting and hosting at events and roundtables
  • working with parliamentarians and government bodies
  • chairing or minuting our technical committees to develop industry knowledge
  • leading or managing a range of projects suited to your skills and experience

Learning and Development is how we grow and we encourage regular check-ins with your Manager to monitor progress against performance objectives.  Our ‘Job Map’ competency framework helps to provide structure for skills progression.
